CARVING / DECORATING TIPS
1. Take time to choose your pumpkin, look out for features such as lines in the pumpkin skin which could make great witches wrinkles, nodules to look like warts
2. Plan your design first by drawing out the features on your pumpkin or use a template, a quick google search for pumpkin template downloads will give you a great choice of designs
3. Maybe instead of actually cutting all the way through your pumpkin, have a go at shaving different depths to create some cool 3d designs.
4. Instead of a pumpkin, why not have a go at some other veg & fruit varieties? Watermelons are great, much easier to carve out and delicious fruit for all to enjoy.
5. Lighting!!! lets face it there are som many options for lighting your pumpkin (or whatever else you choose to carve). Old fashioned candles still look great, however battery operated led lights can be picked up for super cheap and many stores and some even come with remore controls and colour changing lights, these are much safer to use than live flickering flames and give off some great effects.

HALLOWEEN CRAFTING
1. Little balloon pumpkins stuffed with sweeties
Simpy fill the little balloons with a few sweet treats, blow them up just a little, tie the tops, finish off with some green paper to top and draw little faces with a permannent black pen.
2. Loo Roll insert crafts
Perfect for painting different colours and creating monsters, pumpkins and withces
3. Light up Milk Bottles
Decorate milk bottles wih permannet marker pens and either cut a slit in the bottom at the back to insert an led light or sit an led light upside down where the bottle cap sits to light up. An alternative is to drop a few glow sticks insdie.
