The majority of stress is caused when parents leave things to the last minute. Start planning at least 6 – 8 weeks ahead. This sounds like a long time but when you take into account you may need a venue, children’s entertainer, etc. all these services can get booked up early and if you leave it too late you may spend twice as long looking and find it much harder to find the services you need, because others have beat you to it.
You could have your party at home, but it makes life so much easier if you hire a hall or other venue. The thought of 30 kids running around your home is probably enough to send any parent into meltdown and options such as local village halls and community centres can be hored for a very reasonable cost.
If budget allows, book a children’s entertainer because it minimises the stress of organising activities yourself and keeping the kids focused and entertained helps prevent any boredom squabbles setting in. With children’s entertainers being more in demand than ever before, the choice of party entertainers has become huge with a great choice e.g. magicians, clowns, themes, discos, or less traditional options like science parties, bubble parties, princess parties, pamper parties, gaming vans and so much more. There really are really do have a lot of exciting options on offer for your little one’s big day, instead of the usual pass the parcel and musical chairs.
Equipment hire also needs to be thought about, tents, bouncy castles and mascot's, can help make your party that little bit more special and entertaining.

Through the magic of movement to music in the local community, diddi dance want to ensure that every child's earliest experiences with dance, movement and physical activity are filled with excitement and wonder.
Our diddi dudes classes consist of preschool dance and movement elements suitable for children from walking up to starting school (approx. 18 months – 5 years). These sessions are a celebration of dance, music, and imaginative play, providing children with a well-rounded experience that nurtures both their physical and social development. As confident walkers, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, all while building their coordination, balance, and confidence.
Our NEW diddi debutantes classes are aimed at younger children and babies, steady sitters and pre-walkers can enjoy their first experience of moving to music in a class setting. These 35 minute sessions focus on rhythm, different dance styles from around the world, prop exploration, sensory elements and offer wonderful moments for grown ups to dance with their little ones.
We also extend our services to Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) settings, collaborating with nurseries and preschools. By aligning our classes with the EYFS framework, we offer a structured, educational experience that supports children's learning while they dance and play.
Throughout our termly classes, we introduce exciting themes and events to keep our classes fresh and exciting. From exploring the vibrancy of salsa dancing and funky hip hop moves to the magic of our Christmas or Easter classes, there's always something new to look forward to in our sessions. We explore over 16 different dance styles from around the world during each two year schedule of community classes!

There’s nothing worse than spending all that money on a party and then sending out a the invites, having booked your venue, and entertainer, only to find kid having a party the same time or no one being able to attend due to short notice so make sure you get your invites out early!!!
This can be as easy or ellaborate as you like, depending on how much time and money you have! The simple easy option would be the staple finger food buffett. Sandwiches are always a winner, carrot sticks, cheese cubes, cherry tomatoes, cucumber sticks, grapes, crisps, mini pizzas, fun size sweets or chocolate bars, strawberries, pineapple chunks, to name just a few. Always have a nice balance of healthy food, as well as those tempting treats chocolates, sweets, cup cakes, mini doughnuts etc. For drinks, juice boxes are nice and easy to give out or equally jugs of squash on the tables do equally well. For zero waste, send out food options with the invite and make up food boxes, Happy Meal style cardboard boxes can be purchased from places such as Amazon or Ebay for relativley cheap and used as place markers at the party table too!!
Of course, if you have the budget you can also hire in the caterers or many supermarkets now make up platters to order.

Don’t worry, the kits are no more expensive than your standard disposables. A party kit for 30 people, including decorations, for 48 hours, is just £30. We can certainly take the stress out of your party.
Once your party ends, collect everything up, pop the plates, etc. into the provided bag, the decorations into their box then put it all back into the hamper. No washing up required, that’s included in our prices.

Quite often the centre piece of a kids party. No party is complete without the birthday cake. There are so many wonderful options too and you can go as big or small as your budget allows. There are some really amazing cake creators able to sculpt you the most amazing creation that tastes devine, however many of these do get bokked up months in advance so make sure you get your order in early. You can of course go to your local cake shop to have it made for you. Or you can have fun with your kids at home, making it yourself. Supermarkets have a fantastic range of childrens character cakes available in a range of sizes. Why not combine the two and purchase a supermarket cake, move to a larger cake board and personalise the board with icing? The only limits here areyour budget and imagination. Childrens birthday cakes have very much become something of a work of art, however the mmost importnat thing here is your child enjoys it and it tastes great. To avoid stress and rushing around, try to get this done 3 days before your party. If you are hiring a hall and looking after your own catering, don't forget the knife, napkins, candles and of course a lighter to light the candles.
If you are having your party at a playbarn or attraction these will usually supply party bags, sometimes included in the package or as optional extras, of course this is the easier option and believe ot or not sometimes more cost effective and makes life easier. If you prefer you can pick up party bags or boxes from pretty much any supermarket or large store such as Home Bargains, The Range, B&M, Hobbycraft etc and have a go at making your own. Pocket sized toys and sweets are usually popular as party bag items and can be picked up in bulk from any of the aforementioned stores along with the usual online market places such as Ebay or Amazon. If you are super organised and pretty crafty, you could even have a go at making your own.

If you have booked a venue such as a playbarn or other all inclusive party venue then great, just rock up with the cake and party. Other than that make a checklist a few days before to tick off on the morning of the party. Start setting up the venue a good hour before e.g. table for tea, decorations, balloons, cake, activities etc. Once the kids have turned up, if you’ve hired a children’s entertainer then they should take over from then on leaving you to mingle. Don’t forget to have your camera ready and above all enjoy the memories, children grow up so fast and inthe grand schemme of things there wont be many of these parties as the years go by so make the most of them!
