Camp Bestival Kicks Of With A Host Of Headliners And Kids Activities

Camp Bestival Shropshire opened the gates for the first official event day on Friday with a huge line up and far more family fun and activities to list.....

Roller disco's, kids comedy clubs, talent shows, circus skills, fair rides, wild swimming, water activities, woodland walks, smores and marshmallow making, junkyard orchestras, park or, football skills, skateboarding, CBeebies Story Time Tent,  arts and crafts and thats before we even mention THE WORLDS BIGGEST BOUNCY CASTLE!!!! and that's just a few of the day time activities available around the camp.

It's always great to see kids learning new skills from circus skills to art and craft activities and bush crafting skills.  New for this year are the kids passports, encouraging the kids to try new skills and visit the entertainers around the park, including the new Navigation Town, stamp the passports at the many passport stations around the park with tasks from finding new friends to activities and more.  The new Navigation Town provides hours of family entertainment from an array of festival  performers and entertainers.

The Camp Bestival App has made life really simple this year, real time updates as lineups change and helpful advice and tips shared throughout the weekend..... For those that like to collect the programme and lanyards, these are still available to purchase at merchandise stands.

The famous Camp Bestival Park stage has seen some amazing acts take to the stage this year, from daytime kids entertainment from big names like Mr Tumble, Mr Maker, Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave, Haker T Dog & Katie Thistleton, Brainiac Live and the incredible Dick & Dom all providing hours of entertainment.

As the sun began to set over the festival site the headliners took to the stage with Say She She kicking of the evening on Friday followed by an electrifying performance from the Amazing McFly and to top the evening off the one and only Rick Astley took to the stage showing us all he still very much has what it takes to absolutely wow the crowds.... showing off his skills as a drummer and versatile range rounding the evening off with the crowd absolutley roaring to the ultimate Rick Roll "Never Gonna Give You Up".

Gok Wan warms up the crowd Saturday evening with his Camp Bestival regular and much loved DJ Set, followed by The Darkness, Jake Sheers and the amazing Paloma Faith.

As the final day kicks off, the kids favorite Bluey will take to the park stage followed by Horrible Histories, Mr Motivator and the evening will round up with Level 42, Camp Bestival favorite Sara Cox and the incredible Faithless will close off what is set to be an incredible weekend at Camp Bestival Shropshire 2024
