Every little girls dream come true!!! A whole load of sweet smelling, glittery potions that you then get to throw in a bath full of water and splash around in.
As a parents we must confess to finding the whole mixing and making potions, slime, lotions etc a bit of a nightmare. It's oretty much impossible to do these things without making a mess.
The kit does require a little assembly, although everything slots together nicely and once it's assembled for the first time you don't need to worry about taking it apart again. The instructions for making the bath bombs re very clear and you can mix and match potions, not forgetting to hide little suprises inside them. It takes around 5-7 mins to make a bath bomb and then a further 30 mins is required for them to set. This is a great activity to do mid afternoon ready for an early evening bath. This said with correct storage the bath bombs can be stored for us at another time.
The kids and even myself really enjoyed this kit, once finished the bath bombs fizz lovely when placed in water and I was impressed that they seemed just as good as any other shop purchased one. Plenty of fizz, a lovely aroma and even coloured the bath water too! I am not sure how the ingredients in these would go down with children with sensitive skin or eczema but having said that, you probably wouldnt use any scented bath bombs in those circumstances anyway.
The lovely thing about the scents is that they tend to be more fruity than floral making them perfect for both boys and girls.
Despite not being a fan of mess, we actually really enjoyed this set and there wasnt as much mess as we thought there would be.
