Gtech Combi Drill Bundle

Gtech, the well-known electronic home product brand now make cool things for dads. On first opening the box and holding my new power drill and screw driver I was impressed straight away with the design, feel and overall quality that I was presented with. There wasn't much to learn or assemble to get it to use straight away and the second you attach the battery and pull the trigger you can feel the impressive torque from the 20v battery and brushless motor.

This thing is powerful, brutal and also smoothly gentle if you let me explain. The power is there if you need it, controlled by the trigger, which is easy and accurate. Power can be delivered in a smooth manner or you can completely pull it all the way back and be brutal with how the power is delivered and believe me there is plenty of it.

The drill has a fantastic gear box with variable 2 speed, a chuck less head for fast change of bits, three mode selection (Drill, Screw driver and Hammer action) and a handy led light targeted at the pointy end that lights up the action. It is a fairly heavy unit, but this makes it feel sturdy and well-made.

The design Gtech have put into this product shows and I actually love how it looks and feels to use. No detail has been overlooked, colour, feel and look have all been carefully added to make this drill just look awesome.

The modes on offer make it very versatile to the jobs you can handle with easy, no more stripping heads out of screws when you use the screw driver mode and step up the torque settings. This saves time and hassle from destroying screws when putting in or taking them out.

The battery lasts well and the charger is also of high quality and charges the battery pretty fast. The led light, near the battery at the bottom is handy to have and lights up where the end of the drill is, I just wished it would stay on a second or two longer after the trigger was released. Having said that about the light, that is the only negative point on this product and it's a minor one at that.

Price, this was the most surprising part. I thought the product and price were amazing value, I couldn't believe it was such a steal and if you find it on offer or get a discount code you are quids in on this. I can see trades people across the country using this once they realise the low cost and quality of these products.

There are also a great range of base units to add, so if you already have the battery pack you can add to it for great value range of tools at your disposal.

Overall a beautiful, quality product at a very competative price.
